About Jolley Industrial Supply

Jolley Industrial Supply - The early daysOur current owner and chief operating officer, Richard C. Jolley, founded Jolley Industrial Supply in 1950. His goal was to establish a local company that would provide top quality products and service tailored to the needs of businesses in the Franklin, Pennsylvania area. He started the company with a $500 investment, operating out of the basement of his home.

Mr. Jolley quickly established himself as an innovator. From the earliest days of the company, he led efforts to develop new products when the old ones weren’t getting the job done for his customers. He also developed ingenious business strategies to help his customers overcome a variety of obstacles that sometimes threatened their very survival. Some of Mr. Jolley’s ideas were considered novel at the time, but are now accepted practice. For example, he pioneered just-in-time and other innovative inventory management concepts long before they were recognized as viable techniques known by industry buzzwords.

Jolley has grown considerably. The basement shop has turned into two Pennsylvania locations. Our Franklin site has 40,000 square feet of warehouse and office space and 18 employees, while our Sharon location has 25,000 square feet and 15 employees. We provide unbeatable service to customers across western Pennsylvania and throughout five nearby Ohio counties. Our customer base includes a cross section of the marketplace. We work with all types of businesses, including original equipment manufacturers, fabricators, machine shops, contractors, steel mills, tool and die companies, gas and electric companies, lumber and saw mills, warehouses, plus townships and cities.

At Jolley Industrial Supply, we continue to observe our founding principles. The Jolley family leads our staff in working closely with our customers, as well as our suppliers, nurturing relationships built on quality products, people, and ideas.
